Committed to the decarbonization of its operations and aware of the current ecological challenges, the logistics specialist BeRT&YOU® is committed to reducing its environmental impact through a number of actions and has thus chosen to install rooftop solar power plants on two of its logistics buildings.
“Our commitments to sustainable development are part of the group’s strong values, so as part of the project for the completion of our Albon logistics platform, we collaborated with the Urbasolar group upstream of the project to fit the 23,000 m2 of roof space with solar panels and thus reduce our carbon footprint. For BeRT&YOU®, collaborating with Urbasolar meant we had chosen a solid, recognized partner, capable of supporting us with our CSR program and with our interactions with the various project stakeholders (SDIS, DREAL, municipalities, etc.). This first collaboration continued with the construction of a second platform fitted with a photovoltaic power plant in St Gilles in the Gard region in southern France. These two solar projects will allow us to enhance the value of our buildings and strengthen our CSR policy. They also, and most importantly, are proof of our commitment to more sustainable energy production for our planet. Finally, they now form part of our continuing plans to deploy power plants at our other logistics sites in France. ”
