The URBASOLAR Group is awarded 11 projects of the 33 winners of the Non-Interconnected Zones call for offers!

The Urbasolar group is the principle winner of the call for offers for the French overseas departments and Corsica, the results of which were delivered by the Minister of the Environment, Sustainable Development, and Energy.

11 new projects, representing 30 million Euros of investment for the group, have been distinguished by their technological qualities, environmental virtues, and their economic relevance. The applications involved are building roofs as well as parking canopies, located in Réunion, Guadeloupe, and Martinique.
These results bear witness to the skill of Urbasolar in the field of energy storage and the integration of photovoltaics into electricity grids, as these are the technical aspects of this call for offers.
Urbasolar has carried out research programs on these topics with the CEA, the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission, for three years.
Furthermore, these results reflect the quality of Urbasolar’s presence and that of its partners in overseas departments for many years now, including the Ravate Group in Réunion with which Urbasolar has been associated since 2008.
This success comes after the 80 MW won from the last CRE3 call for offers, representing 100 M€ of assets to implement. The Urbasolar Group remains the number one winner of the CRE calls for offers since their launch.
The Urbasolar Group, who is celebrating their 10-year anniversary in 2016, thus reinforces its status as the number one French independent, purely photovoltaic energy operator.
