The farmer and her husband, whose business was established in 2013, are two experienced market gardeners and horticulturists. Over the years, they have succeeded in establishing a viable economic and agricultural model, although as the produce they grow is highly specialized, they have decided to rely on an innovative and efficient tool. Urbasolar therefore suggested providing them with a photovoltaic greenhouse to meet the demands of their customers efficiently and respond to farmers’ desires to integrate their project into a sustainable global development initiative. This solar greenhouse will also allow for better diversification of distribution channels whilst ensuring varied, local, high quality produce that is more environmentally friendly.
