Installed on part of the family farm, this Young Farmer is specialized in the production of winter salad vegetables inside polytunnels. To meet the exponential demand for lamb's lettuce (also known as corn salad), this farmer wanted to replace the polytunnels with a solar-powered greenhouse. This efficient and sustainable means of production, developed and constructed by Urbasolar, ensures that the production requirements of lamb's lettuce can be met. This crop can now be produced without having to worry about adverse weather conditions, to which lamb’s lettuce is particularly sensitive, and its growing season can be extended to respond to the high level of consumer demand.
